Most of what is on this page started as an email from a village hall. We write these in the same words we send our
halls, so you can see for yourself how often this thing actually moves.
Repeating bookings gain a new option: monthly on the same weekday. Perfect for groups that meet on the first Thursday or last Friday rather than the same date each month.

School holidays and term-time bookings
New under Bookings: add your school holidays to Holidays & Closures once, then tick "term-time only" on a regular booking and half terms are skipped automatically - no more deleting half-term sessions by hand from a 12-week hire.

See what each role can actually do
When you add or edit a team member, each role now explains itself in plain English - so you can see at a glance that a trustee can view compliance and reports without being able to change bookings. The team list also shows when each person last signed in.

A tidier menu, organised around your day-to-day work
Rate Cards and the Buffer now live under Bookings, Payment Settings under Finance, and your subscription and feedback have their own places at the bottom. Everything is where you would expect it - thanks to a suggestion from one of our venues.

Keep a gap between bookings
New under Bookings: the Buffer page lets you keep 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes free before and after every booking, so one group has time to clear up before the next arrives. Clashing times are blocked automatically.

Half-hour bookings
The booking form now has a half-hour button alongside 1 hr, 2 hrs and all day, and the enquiry form on your website offers times in half-hour steps - handy for shorter lets.

A Getting Started guide, right in the menu
New under Settings: a searchable, step-by-step guide to rooms and rates, hirers, bookings, invoicing, compliance and your committee - with buttons that take you straight to the right screen.

Charge a different rate for the first hour
Rooms and rate cards can now carry an optional first-hour rate, with your hourly rate applying after that. Invoices show the first hour and the further hours as separate lines.

Attach papers to a meeting agenda
Reports, quotes and previous minutes from your Document Vault can now be attached to any meeting, and they are listed on the minutes PDF.

Invoices now show booking times
Invoice lines state the start and end time as well as the date - for example "Main Hall, 1 Jun 2026, 10:00am to 1:00pm (3 hrs)".

Booking times are easier to enter
You can now type dates and times directly instead of using the little arrows, and one-tap buttons (1 hr, 2 hrs, all day) fill in the end time for you.

Colour-coded types of hire on the calendar
Give each type of hire (classes, parties, meetings) its own colour and both your calendar and website calendar use it, so you can see the shape of the week at a glance.
